I have problems with a non clustered fileserver 2012 utilising DFS that will initially work for all our clients (XP, Win7 and some 2003 servers) but will occasionally stop working for the legacy clients (XP and 2003)... still working for Win 7.
A reboot for the 2012 server have solved it but then some days later the problem will show up again for the legacy clients.
Is there a fix for this?
I have seen the another thread pointing out more or less the same problem for a clustered 2012
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/5e914a47-675e-4360-b617-13a7a6db84ff/xp-clients-unable-to-access-server-2012-clustered-file-share
In this thread there is a ms fix mentioned which also is directly for a clustered 2012...
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2838043
Would the same fix also be applicable for a non clustered 2012 server?
