I am having issues with permissions on a network share. I have created an AD security group and placed some users in it. I have then added this group to the top level folder call 'Company' on a 2012 server and propagated the permissions down through all files and folders.
The advanced permissions for this group are allow on all apart from 'delete' and 'delete subfolders and files'.
The issue is that when users try to amend Excel and Word files, they get an access denied error. They can edit .txt and .png files, so I suspect this to be an issue with Office related files.
After giving the users 'delete' and 'delete subfolder and files permissions', they are then able to amend office documents and spreadsheets.
Any ideas?
