Extending Partition in Unallocated Contiguous Space

I need to extend a data partition on one of my servers. The partition I need to Extend is partition #4 (Volume 2 which is designated as drive H). The problem is that there is a partition 5 (Volume 3 which is designated as drive G) that is between drive H and the unallocated contiguous space on the disk management screen. My question is if I delete partition 5 (drive G), will that give me the required access to the unallocated contiguous space without having to reformat or any other steps besides simply performing the diskpart steps to extend the volume on drive H? The allocations are as follows:

Part 1 - OEM - 39 MB

Part 2 - Primary - 12 GB

Part 3 - Extended - 261 GB

Part 4 - Logical - 78 GB

Part 5 - Logical - 20 GB

Vol 0 - E - DVD ROM

Vol 1 - C - NTFS Part - 12 GB

Vol 2 - H - NTFS Part - 78 GB

Vol 3 - G - NTFS Part - 20 GB

I appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Thanks!
