Hi all. I brought up a new Server 2012 file server this weekend (FS2012) and setup a DFS connection to a branch server (FS2008). Everything replicated from FS2008 to FS2012, however new files and new changes are not being replicated in either direction.
I ran the DFS diagnostic report from FS2008 and received the following warning under FS2012's part of the report:
Reference member returned no replicated folders.
Description: | Backlog calculations cannot be performed because the reference member returned zero replicated folders.
Last occurred: | Tuesday, April 02, 2013 at 10:25:32 AM (GMT-5:00)
Suggested action: | For information about troubleshooting backlog problems, see the Microsoft Web Site. |
I also received this warning under FS2008's section:
One or more replicated folders have sharing violations.
Affected replicated folders: | Projects
Description: | Due to ongoing sharing violations, DFS Replication cannot replicate files in the replicated folders listed above. This problem is affecting 5 files in 1 replicated folders. Event ID: 4302
Last occurred: | Tuesday, April 02, 2013 at 10:25:32 AM (GMT-5:00)
Suggested action: | Verify that the files you want to replicate are closed and have no open handles to them. For information about troubleshooting sharing violations, see The Microsoft Web Site. |
Any suggestions?
