I just upgraded our file servers hard disk array with all new drives. Created a new virtual disk, raid 5. Formatted the partition to have 2TB (Max for NTFS), everything worked as planned. I then did a rollback using AppAssure software (Which runs on a dedicated backup server). Literally, as soon as this rollback started, the volume of our virtual disk was changed from 2TB to 1.36TB - exactly as it was for the date of the rollback.
If you go into the Disk Manager, it shows 2TB - Does not allow you to extend the partition (Grayed out)
Diskpart - shows 2TB
Windows explorer reports 1.36TB
Obviously, the reason we did the upgrade was we needed the additional space.
Never....saw this before. This partition was created within the Raid controller utility/BIOS. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I've already reached out to AppAssure support and Dell who were no help with this situation.
