We are getting “Unspecified error (0x80004005)” on the client (Win8.1) when Work Folder is configured using WorkFolderURL. Can somebody help us to resolve this issue.
Setup:=
SyncDC VM running with Win2012 R2 Domain Controller, DNS and DHCP
SyncSrv VM running with Win2012 R2, Joined SyncDC Domain and Work Folder and IIS role are configured
SyncC1 VM running with Win8.1, Joined SyncDC Domain
Steps:=
On SyncDC
STEP 1. Created and configured “syncdc.com” domain
STEP 2. Created “WFSYNC” group , with scope “Global” and type “Security” and added 2 members (User1, User2)
On SyncSrv
STEP 3. Login to the Domain “syncdc.com”
STEP 4. Added the role Work Folder with IIS
STEP 5. Through IIS created self-signed certificate and exported to client
STEP 6. Configured SyncShare for a localpath C:\WFDoc
STEP 7. Configured SMB Share with Read/Write permission for C:\WFDoc
On SyncC1
STEP 8. Logged in as SYNCDC/User1
STEP 9. Tried to configure Work Folder using the WorkFolderURL
STEP 10. Hitting the issue “Unspecified error (0x80004005)”
