Hi all
One folder on our server has been encrypted and I have been asked to change the administrator password which has now stopped all access to the files within the folder. If I try to open one of the files inside the folder I just get "access denied". I have put the password back to what it was before it makes no difference.
"Encrypt Contents To Secure Data" cannot be unticked because it says I do not have access to do so.
The contents of the folder are very important and I need to access them asap.
We have server 2008 R2
I know nothing about encryption and so any help in as simple terms as possible would be highly useful in helping me recover these files.
I have Googled the problem but there does not seem to be a definitive fix and so I thought I would start my own post.
