I recently inherited an windows server 2012 environment running a fileshare on one server with a DFS replication set up to another server in the forest.
I noticed the replication had not run for several months, and that the staging folders were all empty, so i started troubleshooting the issue, but to no avail.
Both servers are VMs running on Hyper-V. I've tried recreating the DFS replication, i've tried forcing the sync withDfsrdiag syncnow, when i do i get Operation Succesfull but nothing happens.
If i do propagation tests the report says the test are pending, even after a few days.
Connectivity between the servers are good, service are running and there are no errors logged.
There's no file activity at all, not even in the staging folders.
