Hi all,
I've had a look through the forums and can't see an exact answer to my setup. I have a DFS-R replication group which has been running between 4 servers for years without issue. I am replacing a server in one of our branch offices and added it and allowed DFS-R to perform the initial sync (non-seeded). I've had to move the server to the branch office before the sync completed and even though there is another DFS-R partner in the new site its no longer doing the initial sync.
I would be happy to restart the inital sync and would probably re-seed using the branch office but I don't want to re-create the whole replication group as its live and working in the other sites. If I delete the member from the replication group, robocopy the files from the partner on site and then re-add the member will DFS-R initialise successfully or will it get out of sync?
The new member has not been published in the namespace so no users are accessing it.
Thanks,
Chris
