Hello Everyone,
We are currently running Windows 2008 R2 domain controllers still not at 2008 functional level as we have 1 windows 2003 DC. Now the issue
I am running into is related to NFS. We currently have a NFS server running windows 2000 which is the NFS server and User Name Mapping Server, currently mapping using Password and Group files with advanced maps. So long as the windows 2003 domain controller
is up our HPUX server are able to map to it without any problems as soon as I take that domain controller offline I am still able to map using the HPUX server or a windows server however when I try to edit or create files/folders I get "There was a mapping
failure" over and over again and I get permission denied on the HPUX side and the widows side it just shows nothing.
I do not see any settings in NFS or anywhere else that point to that particular domain controller. So if anyone can please tell me
if there is a setting out there somewhere that I am missing as to what could be the cause of having to have that 2003 domain controller out there I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dave
