What is the best way to automatically copy files to another server?

We just replaced an old server (2008 R2) with a new unit running 2012 Std.  Our backup software (Backup Exec 2012) is not compatible with 2012 (go figure), so we had to keep the old server running.  As a result, we need to automatically copy a folder from the new server to the old every day, so that we can back it up. We don't want to spend the additional money to buy BUE Agent since in a year, we're not going to be needing it.  BUE promises 2012 compatibility by fall 2014.

What is the best way to do the copy?  Write a command prompt batch file, and schedule the execution of same, or should I use powershell?
