I am configuring storage spaces for a small business that has a single JBOD containing 24 SAS disks (7200 rpm).
There will be 2 Server 2012 R2 cluster nodes connected to the JBOD and a cluster of 4 Hyper-V nodes connecting to it. (10GBbE)
The goal is to use the JBOD for VHDs, SQL, and traditional file servicing (department shares and roaming profiles).
I want to use a 3 way mirror to support the loss of 2 disks, and I think I should use a single storage pool for IO benefits, but tell me if I am wrong. Just wanted to get some design ideas is all.
