Hey Tech gurus ,
I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 datacenter , with 3 partition of NTFS file format ,
I come across this error when I move / copy data from one partition to another
" An unexpected error is keeping you from moving the file.If you continue receive this error,you can use error code to search for with this problem.
Error 0x80070299: The requested operation could not be completed due to file system limitation.
I searched this error on various search engines and tried all the possible ways which were illustrated on various sites and blogs like defrag the destination partition , uncheck for the compressed partition also even run chkdsk on destination drive , The destination drive has a file size of 2.75 TB and there is enough space available to move the data.
The original operation what I'm doing is that I am trying to move / copy images from different source folder to one destination folder , the destination folder already contains 2,145,422 images and I'm trying to add more images in that folder.
I am scratching my head and pulling my hair out of my scalp for finding the solution for this , any kindred assist would be appreciated.
