Ok, so I've gone through the steps listed in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753875.aspx to upgrade a test DFS namespace (before upgrading our actual namespace) to 2008 mode. Almost everything has gone as advertised, but I have one concern and haven't turned up much searching for this specific issue. I'm hoping someone else has ran across this.
After importing the namespace I noticed that the folders in the namespace are showing as not configured for replication on the replication tab of the folders within the namespace. Also, the publication status on the replicated folders tab for the replication group that was created prior to upgrading the namespace is showing as not published. I've verified replication is happening, and when I attempt to share and publish the replication folder I receive an error stating the the folder already exists in the namespace. Also, when I attempt to run through the replicate folder wizard for the folder in the namespace, I'm receiving an error stating the shared folder path is already replicated on the server using replication group namespace\folder.
Is this behavior typical in what others have seen after upgrading their DFS namespaces from 2000 to 2008 mode? Or is something hosed up on my setup that could be causing this.
Thanks
Gary
