Hello Community,
I have a problem with my Virtual Disk Service. If i start Diskmanagment you can only see:
Connecting to virtual Disk Service" To use diskpart is also not possible :(
No errorlogs to find in the eventlogs. The VDS Service is up.
OS: win2008 R2
Server = IBM x3650
Backup/Recovery Server --> Netbackup 7.6.0.2
I found the following reason for my Problem: I have mapped 40 LUNS from my Netapp-Storagesystem to my
Windows Server. After this virtual Disk Service only shows "Connecting to virtual Disk Service"
The VDS Service is up. If i disable my Storagecontroller (SAN-Controller) the VDS Service functioning normally.
The Software DATA Ontap DSM Manager on my Server can see all LUNS correctly.
The Netbackup application had no problem with the mapped LUNs it works fine.
Only the VDS Service had a problem to show me all disk-volumes on my server
Anybody any idea
