We have Windows 2003 File Server cluster and multiple File-server Resource groups inside cluster. i have prepared the new server windows 2008, and restored the data of File-server resource group to stand alone.
after this when i try to browse the stand-alone server by physical name, i can see the shares. but when i try to access it by cluster resource group name i am getting access denied.
- A registry key for lanman was take from source (cluster server) and restored on standalone.
- Cluster resource group was taken offline and assigned the same IP address to standalone server as secondary IP.
