Dear Forum,
we have a strange problem here. Situation:
A fileshare got moved from a very old Server 2000 to our new 2008 R2 Server. Ever since the departments share moved Servers she (and her colleagues) get "unsuspected file lock by user" messages. Even if they unlock it and change something they can't save it.
- There was a file lock from that user even though she wasn't logged in. We removed that.
- There were some crude inherited rights from the old share. We purged them and the rights should be ok. (effective file permission says so, too!)
- Her tmp files were deleted.
- I for example can access the file without problem.
We are currently out of ideas and any help is apreciated.
