There is a customer that would like to remove DFS replication, but keep their existing DFS Namespace. Currently the replication is set up to replicate only mandatory profiles & IE favorites (users w/a MAN profile had to have a way to save IE Favorites) between a local server and the DFS root. There is some testing that I will be doing (apps & their reliance on DFS replication to provide Desktop shortcuts for certain apps), but I'm curious if anyone has been down this path before and is there anything I need to prepare for, other than testing?
