Hello everyone,
I have a problem after changing primary dc in company. Old DC became unstable, so we replaced it, migrated all to a new one. Old dc was 2003 r2 server, new one is 2008 r2.
Error:
The File Replication Service is having trouble enabling replication from DC02 to dc01 for c:\windows\sysvol\domain using the DNS name dc02xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. FRS will keep retrying.Following are some of the reasons you would see this warning.
[1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name dc02.xxxxxxxxx from this computer.
[2] FRS is not running on dc02.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.
[3] The topology information in the Active Directory Domain Services for this replica has not yet replicated to all the Domain Controllers.
This event log message will appear once per connection, After the problem is fixed you will see another event log message indicating that the connection has been established.
I have checked all, dns is working, i can ping them, frs servise is running on both dc-s, ad has been replicated successfully...
Only thing that crossed my mind is that the path is invalid. Path with valid data on secondary dc (from where I have to replicate data) is c:\windows\SYSVOL\sysvol\domain using, instead of c:\windows\sysvol\domain using.
Has anyone had this kind of issue before and hav an idea how to solve it? Thank you in advance!
