I'm having an issue where files are being deleted or go missing from a share on a Server 2003 Machine.
Files on the share are being deleted by different PCs at different times. During one instance almost all files and directories on the share went missing. The C drive and other shares have not been touched.
I have Kaspersky Endpoint security but there are no files in quarantine or no messages in the report to suggest a virus. I have also scanned with Norton.
I've been able to trace the PCs (Windows 7) responsible using event logging but the users assure me all they did was "move the mouse" and the application they were using crashed. The application is on the share and it's whole directory went missing causing the application to crash.
