You will have to pardon me, I am new to this platform and some of this stuff is a bit foreign to me.
OK, I have a Server with 2 Physical 4TB Disks Set up as a single storage pool, and a single virtual disk. When we originally set this up, it was set up as both Simple and Fixed (not our choices, previous Admin). We thought at the time we would have more than enough space, but we recently found that we needed to add another drive. So we did, we added a 3rd 4TB drive, and it seems we painted ourselves into a corner with our configuration settings. It will recognize the space in the Storage Pool, but not in the virtual disk.
This is an important share that is used by a lot of functional areas. Is there a way to resolve this without risking the data we have in the existing Virtual Disk?
Am I looking at this all incorrectly and there is a better way to resolve my issue WITHOUT STARTING OVER? It also bears mentioning that this is for a small office, that has no other servers or space, there is nowhere to offload this to to start over.
