I have a user that uses a Mac and can connect/make new documents and files in a Windows share. She accesses the share by using the AD username and password I created for her. When she tries to rename a file in one of those shares she gets a
permission denied error. If I log into a Windows machine as the same user I have no problems renaming the same folder.
