HI;
I recently moved a client from sharing files on a Windows 2003 Server OS installed on a desktop machine to a HP Xeon Quad Core Server with 16GB RAM. I used Hyper V in GUI mode and setup a DC running DHCP and DNS and a Fileserver. Additional I installed a 24 port Gb Switch which should eventually replace an older 100MB switch.
Unfortunately since the upgrade users have complained about a significant increase in the time taken to access files on the FIleserver. I have disabled the AV software. Tonight I enabled File Search Service.
Any ideas regarding the speed issue would be greatly appreciated.
