In our environment we have DFS Namespace (no replication) on Windows 2003 R2 servers\\contosso.com\projectdfs, there are 20 servers configured as namespace servers for this DFSNamespace.
Its working fine for years but recently I noticed DFS contents in c:\DFSroot folder are missing in 4 servers. Also users in that location are facing issues while accessing network drives mapped these DFS location intermittently. I do not see any dfs related errors in eventlog.
Please let me know how do I restore contents in dfsroot folder(no backup available) and what is the impact of this?
