I have 2 files servers with Win2012 installed, I have DFS activated on both machines.
When I created the namespaces originally lets call them \\ad.domain.com\share\ with folder called "home" in the name space, and then moved onto creating the replication group. Everything was working normally with no issues. I was able to go to any server and navigate to \\ad.domain.com\share\home no problem.
Overnight something very strange occurred, the namespace \\ad.domain.com\share\home no longer exits in part. When I type \\ad.domain.com\share\home it shows me the contents of the DFS Root folder which has different contents to the shared folder on the disk.
I Hope this makes sense and please ask lots of questions for me to understand what has happened.
oh I forgot to mention, on the icons in the DFS Root, the namespaces that work have a black shortcut arrow but the namespace folders I am having problems with do not have this.
