I have a Windows 2008 Standard R2 server where multiple users just lost search functionality of their network drive.
I have tried everything I can find on the internet. I have rebuild index on Server and Workstation, reinstalled the Windows Search Service role, changing settings on the mapped network drive.
Offline files/Folders is not an option.
The shared folder that is being indexed on the server is 218GB, has 191,000 files and 12,800 folders. Indexing on the server shows 140 items indexed.
Currently the client is using a 3rd party search tool that is a Band-Aid at best.
