I'm running in a mixed Windows/UNIX (mostly CentOS) environment runningAD (with Identity Management for UNIX installed) as the LDAP provider. I'm looking to upgrade my Windows 2008 R2 Server NAS head to 2012 R2, primarily to upgrade from NFS v3 to NFS v4.1. However, I need to have case sensitivity enabled for both the UNIX and Windows clients. While this is an easy option on 2008, in 2012 it seems to be remove completely. It's not even available on the command-line (nfsadmin). I've made the registry edit necessary which works for the UNIX clients but Windows remains unaffected. I found (and lost) a TechNet article that stated that the case sensitivity option was not available for 2012. So am I missing something or was this option removed? Please help!
