Hi Guys
I was hoping someone could help clarify the below statement:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the destination server SRV02, ensure that a DFS Replication database does not already exist on the volume into which you will import data.
Ensure that the System Volume Information\DFSR folder does not exist on this downstreamSRV02 server H: drive.
Important: Naturally, this server must not already be participating in replication on that volume and if it is, you cannot clone into it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does this mean that it is:
1. its OK to have a replicated folder on the destination volume but all i will need to do is remove the DFSR folder and the whole database will be created once i export and import again - therefore not affecting the current replication folders on that volume.
2. Or does this mean that I will not be able to do this more than once to the same destination volume. I can only have 1 replicated folder per volume? This would be an issue for me as I dont want my replication groups to have too much data and would prefer to split them up. Unfortunately these reside on the same source volume and will reside on the destination volume also.
Im pretty sure its 1 but if any one could confirm that would be much appreciated.
Thanks
