Hi there
There are dozen & dozen articles about my issue, but no one helped me to fix it!. The problem is that, when user profiles logs on to the server, they logs on temporary profile. Thus, all configuration made in this profile is not saved. Every day the same users tells us about the same error….
So, we googled a bit, and found useful articles which had to fix this issue. So what happens when the user logs on?!
- A user Desktop files & Folders located in Users folder on a File Server
- A user “My Documents” locates in “Profiles$” folder on the same File Server. Subfolders in this folder named respectively to their Username: FirstName LastName.V2
- Users logs on to their desktop using Terminal Servers. There are 3 Terminal Servers on each site. System files for a user stored on each server
In Registry Editor we noticed, that there are to exact keys for one user. Like below
S-1-5-21-1110801739-2027734305-2717906184-12622
S-1-5-21-1110801739-2027734305-2717906184-12622.bak
So we tried do delete key W/O .bak extension, then removing .bak from the name of the key. Usedthese steps to solve our problem, but in the end, when the user logs on, he still remains as Temporary Profile….
Please Help us to solve this problem
