Hello everyone, I have a win2k8 R2 SP2 server. i have a network drive where all of my user files are shared out by department. resently, I stated having probles with this drive and some users. Anytime the user creates a folder in this folder, it will create it with the following special permission: this folder only
I will have to log into the server and change the folder permission to: this folder, subfolder and file.
so anything saved in these folders would not be seen until i make the changes. I looked into the parent folder and all is ok, just when creating a subfolder we get this problem. and if we create a file withing the subfolder will place a lock on it. Please help, it is really annoying to have to manually edit permissions anytime someone create a new folder.
