DFSR Staging Size for Single Large File

I have some replication groups with a Single large file (about 10GB). What would be the correct size of the staging area?

Also, what happens if

1. The Staging area is smaller than the file size?

2. The staging area is nearly full and I replace the file with an updated file, (and it needs to replicate again)?
