Hi, we have a 2008 r2 file server with various folders and files on it. We find that if we access say a spreadsheet called test.xls on\\FileServer\documents it is different to if you access it from\\FileServer.domain.local\documents. The difference is generally that we can save the version accessed via DNS, but not by NetBIOS. So the NetBIOS one is older and out of date. We don't use DFS so any ideas on what's happening?
