I have a growing network with 2 Hyper-V virtual hosts containing about 10 virtual servers. I also have 5 other physical servers in this mix. In moving to Server 2012 and reading about storage virtualization and failover clustering, I am thinking I would like to take advantage of this for the redundancy and performance enhancements. One problem I am struggling with though is the direct attached storage requirement to fully implement storage virtualization. I should also mention I work for a non-profit so doing things well but cheaply is needed. DAS's only really connect to one server, SAN's are expensive and NAS's are not approved. How can I make this happen without breaking my bank but also having the benefits of storage virtualization for all of my servers? Any insight and direction would be appreciated.
Thanks
