I have been trying to migrate my 2003 SP2 file server to a new virtual 2012 datacenter instance.
I have followed the guide, and used the Send/Recieve-SmigServerData as suggested. The process completed (after several days), and the partition on the destination server now shows to have received the 1TB+ of data. However, the folders/shares are not visible on the partition.
I have had a look at the logs, but there is nothing to suggest any catastrophic errors. This should have been relatively simple. There are no fsrm, dfs, etc. Just a simple file server.
Please help !! It will be a number of months before I will be able to attempt this again !!
