Hello, this is the first time I use DPM, I've installed DPM 2012 SP1 with the Rollup3.
When I backup some VM hosted by Windows Server 2012 by selected the VM and also the "Host Component" everything is fine at first, but few minutes/hours later several VM get the following message in the Status column of the Hyper-V Manager:
"Cannot connect to virtual machine configuration storage".
From this moment, the nightmare become, I can't change the configuration of my VM, I get these errors (for instance):
(by the way, I have the same issue regardless of the VM being replicated, being the replica or not being replicated at all)
if I restart the Hyper-V service, nothing happens, if I reboot the computer the computer hosting Hyper-V I will get the chance to recover the issue for some VM, but not all of them!
For some I'll get the error:
The only thing I can do is delete the VM and create a new one and attach the VHD manually!
And I'm 100% sure it's about DPM, I'm doing tests for the whole week with several hypervisors and once I backup a VM and the Host Component I'm 100% sure to get trouble in the corresponding server!
For a backup solution, it's ironic that it breaks my stuffs!
