We have a windows 2008 32bit with a drive (D:) that is actually a iscsi volume (1.4 terabyte) we are trying to move this to a new server that is connected to the same iscsi network. I can discover the volume and in disk manager it looks like it is all there but in explorer when I click on the drive I get a Access Denied.

I suspect the because the volume was originally formatted on the windows 2008 32bit server that bringing it over to the 64bit 2008R2 could be the problem but wanted to get this verified before looking at an alternative method of getting this accomplished. I also duplicated the issue with small iscsi volume that was formatted on the same 2008 (32bit) server and then moved to new 2008r2 server and it does exactly the same thing.

This article points me in that direction http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg509007(v=ws.10).aspx

Thanks

Steve
