Hi,
I have a File Server cluster in Windows Server 2012 R2 as follows:
- 2 virtual servers (vMware), with 4vCpus, 8 GB of RAM, data disks in RDM (Raw device Mapping).
- 3 clustered disks + 1 Quorum.
- I do not use DFS for the cluster, instead I use File Server role within the Windows Cluster Failover.
- Hypervisor vMware 6
- VMware Tools installed and upgraded on virtual machines
- Fully Updated Windows
- The 3 clustered disks are allocated in a DELL Compellent Storage
- The 3 clustered volumes are formatted in NTFS, blocks of 4k without compression.
When I activate Shadow Copy on a local volume (non-clustered volume, like C:\), the backup versions made by shadow copy appear in the previous versions tab:
Shadow copy example on the C: \ drive of a cluster node:
When I activate shadow copy on clustered volumes, nothing appears on this tab previous versions:
On the workstations, you can see the contents of the tab previous versions:
After several searches I did not find anything related to shadow copy in a clustered environment.
Why logged in as domain administrator or any other account with administrative privilege can not view content previous versions directly on the drive, only using share?
Has anyone ever had this problem and can share information?
