Folder Owner Is Local Administrator and not Administrators Group

Hi all,

I've discovered a strange problem on a Windows Server 2012 Standard File Server that I have created. I'm starting to set up a folder structure, but every time I create a folder, the owner of the folder ismy local account and not the Administrators group.

My account is a member of the Administrators group, so I don't understand why this is happening. According to this article (which applies to serer 2012):

"By default, in Windows Server 2003, the owner is the creator of the object. If the creator of an object is a member of the Administrators group, the Administrators group is the owner"

So I don't understand why the owner of the folder is showing as my account rather than Administrators group.

Anyone else seen this or have any ideas ?
