DFSR replication, RDC algorithm and the Revit file type .rvt

I have a client who has 2 remote offices, that both use the Revit application for day to day work (http://www.autodesk.com/products/revit-family/overview).  The file types that Revit creates are .rvt files.  My understanding is that each .rvt file is a single file relational database.  These files can get very large (as large as 500 MB) and the client has to use their existing WAN link to transfer these files.  I was thinking about setting up a second file server at the remote site and implementing DFS, so that only changes to the files would be replicated (using the RDC algorithm).  

My question is: would the RDC algorithm actually work for the .rvt files?  I'm concerned that the RDC algorithm would not create any replication savings with a file that is essentially an "all in one relational database".  Does anybody have any thoughts on this?
