So, currently I have a little server set up mostly for file sharing for local use, and FTP for my schoolwork.
However, I ran into a problem with the file sharing.
I made the shared directory on the server's D drive, set up full NTFS permissions on both the drive, and shared folder.
I gave a user account for the local sharing full control,
I had an problem before that I couldn't write files (I found out it was an option in the Sharing tab that was set to Read only.) After that was solved, and I rebooted the server because I wanted to move the home directory for the FTP server over to the same directory as the file sharing has, I could no longer log on without getting Access Denied prompts when trying to logon either as administrator or a user I set up myself.
